Suzan Lindstrom is a highly experienced writer and columnist with over 200 published articles that range from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Usonian homes to heart wrenching stories about missing children, to chatting with 91-year-old Edward Teller, the Father of the H-Bomb who was a fellow in residence at Stanford’s Hoover Institute “Think Tank.”

Over her career as a writer, Suzan has interviewed hundreds of people including those of notoriety: Edward Teller, father of the H-bomb; Terry McCann, Executive Director of Toastmasters organization; Keri Procurnier McLean, CEO of the Santa Clara Valley YWCA; and Polk Laffoon, Vice President/Corporate Relations of Knight Ridder, the second largest publisher of newspapers in the United States. Among other publications, her credits include writing for the San Jose Business Journal, San Francisco Examiner, San Mateo Times, Sunnyvale Valley Journal, Family Life Magazine, Bereavement Magazine, and Eichler Network. She has founded and edited nonprofit and law firm newsletters, wrote for a college newspaper, was a newspaper columnist, profile writer for a business publication, feature writer for an on-line publication and magazine, and most recently served as marketing chair and editor in an effort that successfully saved a non-profit organization.
Suzan also wrote for the Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee, an organization that hosted the San Francisco finalist bid to bringing the 2012 Summer Olympics to the United States. For BSOC, she penned a widely distributed brochure that highlighted eleven world-class sporting events held around the Bay Area in 2002, and she wrote a profile article about Barbra Higgins, an Olympic athlete in fencing.
In 2001, Suzan co-authored a table top book entitled San Jose Silicon Valley: Innovative Vision, Entrepreneurial Spirit (please see the Books page).
Suzan is a single parent of Jennie, who works as a producer of award winning radio and television commercials for a San Francisco advertising agency. Among her awards is a Gold Clio that Jennie received for her television work on Budweiser’s “What are you Doing?” commercial. Jennie is also a talented photographer, having shot the inspiring Pigeon Point lighthouse and serene beach pictures that accent this website.
A member of the National Writers’ Union, Suzan has won awards for her entry in a San Francisco Examiner caption contest and in Parent to Parent magazine for her humorous depiction of her daughter’s tenacity to convince her to subscribe to cable television when she was 10-years old. In 1994, Suzan was nominated for a Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Circle Award for "Mission College - Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow."
